What is No Slides Allowed?
The No Slides Allowed lab focuses on narrative building before any slide design begins. Members explore structure, pacing, and clarity through guided exercises and examples to strengthen story first, slide second. This series is designed to enlighten, inspire, and motivate all presentation professionals to bring as much creativity, skill, and professionalism to the presentation skills that don’t involve design.
The No Slides Allowed host
Glenn Gibson, Principal Advisor and Presentation Coach at Hyland, hosts our new storytelling series, helping presenters craft meaningful, memorable, and motivational stories that resonate with their audiences. He is the author of Before the Mic, a book on effective presentation storytelling that informs and inspires his approach. Glenn is a former board director of the Presentation Guild.
Have topics you want to bring up at the next No Slides Allowed?
The Presentation Guild members-only Slack community is the go-to space for members to stay connected between sessions—suggesting topics, exploring storytelling techniques, discussing presentation skills and best practices, and offering practical advice to fellow professionals looking to elevate how they craft and deliver stories.
What to expect at the event?
Sessions take place on Zoom. Expect simple frameworks, short exercises, and storytelling methods that help you craft stronger presentations long before design starts.
