The Presentation Guild is an all-volunteer professional association whose vision is to establish and nurture a global community of professionals involved in presentation development, design, and delivery.

The Presentation Guild is organized as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit business league. It is a member-based, all volunteer professional association formed to promote the business interests of presentation professionals and enthusiasts.

The Presentation Guild aims to provide education, certification, resources, and support to elevate the standards of the presentation industry, enhance professional skills, promote recognition of the profession, and foster connections among presentation professionals.

The Story Behind the Guild

The Presentation Guild was founded in 2015 to establish a professional home for those who design, develop, and deliver presentations. The idea emerged when a critical gap in industry awareness was identified: even major design software did not acknowledge presentation design or presentation professionals as a discipline. This moment highlighted a broader need for recognition, standards, and community within the field.

A group of early contributors—including industry experts and Microsoft MVPs—joined together to formalize the organization, selecting the name “Guild” to reflect a collective committed to advancing and protecting its craft. From the beginning, the Guild focused on elevating the profession through credible certification programs, industry research, and a supportive member community. Volunteers played a key role in developing professional standards, exam content, and the first State of the Presentation Profession survey in 2017.

Today, the Presentation Guild stands as the world’s only professional association dedicated to multifaceted presentation work, driven by its mission to validate the profession, strengthen professional skills, support and foster connections among presentation professionals.
